Juniper berry has a strong taste and is added sparingly to culinary recipes. The berries can also be tinctured and added to liquors for their herbaceous flavor.
Used as an antiseptic and antimicrobial. Supportive for cystitis and UTI, and helpful with fluid retention.
Long associated with ritual cleansing, juniper was burned at temples as part of regular purification rites. Several medicinal recipes survive in Egyptian papyri dating to 1550 BC.
Qualities: Warm, dry, neutral, slightly pungent, bitter-sweet

Not for use exceeding six weeks in succession. Processed in a facility that also produces tree nuts. Tree nut fragments may be occasionally present.
