Oats are a good restorative nerve tonic, ideal for depression and qi (energy) deficiency. A supportive tonic for the nervous system especially when depleted by stress, prolonged illness, sexual excesses, drug use or protracted illness. It is high in silicon, like all grasses, and thus supports the connective tissue, skin, mucosa and nerves.
Oat tops are commonly used in tincturing; however, they can be added to bath and body blends as well as infused in teas.
