*Uses:
Used mostly as a pulmonary tonic, demulcent, and relaxing expectorant. Helpful for painful and hard coughs, sore throat, and tonsillitis.
Combinations:
Combine with stimulating expectorants for chronic respiratory conditions – sweet violet, anise, thyme or elecampane
Qualities: Cool, moist with 2nd degree drying. Tastes salty/minerally
