Description
Rehmannia glutinosa is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It also belongs to the Scrophulariaceae plant family.
The species name glutinosa comes from glutinous, referring to the sticky nature of the root. The root may be prepared as a decoction. In order to prevent feelings of heaviness or indigestion, prepare with cardamom or ginger.
